What is Host Parking?

The simplest form of web development, over simply leaving the domain in a dormant non-monetised form, is to allow your domain host company to advertise on it. They may just put up a simple link page to their own commercial site, or they may populate your domain with a few random advertisements until such time as you decide to upload your own content. The domain is described as  ‘parked’, although not in an active sense such as with paid parking.

Whichever happens, you are unlikely to receive any money for any user clicks to adverts showing on your parked domain, although your domain host company may generate some advertiser revenue.
